Consultant BiographiesDave Marshall, B.A., P.H. Dave Marshall is an aquatic biologist and licensed professional hydrologist with 32 years of professional experience.
His water resource management expertise includes biological, chemical and physical stream monitoring, lake monitoring, private pond management consultation and monitoring, lake management plan preparation, underwater photography, small stream fish population surveys, near-shore lake fish population surveys and macroinvertebrate sampling.
Mr. Marshall served for 27 years as a Water Resources Management Specialist for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. His work has included stream use classification surveys, chemical, physical, fisheries and macroinvertebrate sampling to determine applicable water quality criteria and water quality condition. He also worked on nonpoint source watershed monitoring and plan preparation, evaluating land use impacts on water quality and establishing goals for lake and stream restorations. He has conducted lake monitoring; lake management and aquatic plant management plan preparation and general technical assistance for lake associations, management districts and other units of government. His shoreline habitat impact assessments and restoration activities include re-establishing native aquatic plants and increasing woody debris.
He began his career serving for two years as a Fisheries Technician at the UW Milwaukee Center for Great Lakes Studies, and conducted large river water quality surveys for three years for the WDNR. He earned his B.A. in Biological Aspects of Conservation from the UW Milwaukee.
