Consultant Biographies

Charles "Buck" Sweeney, P.E., J.D. 

Buck Sweeney is a partner and co-chair of the Construction Law Focus Group with Axley Brynelson LLP, Madison. Mr. Sweeney practices in the areas of environmental and construction law. In addition to being a State Bar section chair, he is a member of the U.S. Supreme Court Bar, the Indiana Bar Association and a member of the United States Patent Bar. Mr. Sweeney is also a licensed professional engineer who assists in resolving construction law disputes.

The Public Contract Law section monitors and proposes legislation, sponsors educational programs, publishes a newsletter and has drafted construction lien forms.

Mr. Sweeney’s practice involves water rights law, public access issues, land trusts, annexation, infrastructure, transportation and municipal law issues.

Mr. Sweeney maintains membership in the Wisconsin Transportation Builders Association, the Wisconsin Builders Association, and the Associated General Contractors. Axley-Brynelson LLP is a full service law firm with exceptional expertise in real estate, land use, conservation and environmental law.
