Consultant BiographiesPat LaskaMr. Laska has spent over twenty-five years in business and program development, project coordination, and marketing; nearly all being related to the electric and gas utility industry or to renewable energy. He's started several businesses, learning from each about risk management, financing, and customer service.
Pat Laska consulted and coached 125 dealers throughout eight states for
Central Boiler, the largest manufacturer of outdoor biomass furnaces.
This experience helped him launch a biomass briquette fuel production
company...the first of its kind in the U.S. As the Development
Director for Renew Energy-Briq Systems, he researched, consulted,
lobbied, and created their successful business plan and marketing
strategy. His clients and partners include dozens of utility,
manufacturing, research, funding and government agents.
Pat served in many diverse roles over 19 years with Wisconsin Public Service (WPS), a gas and electric utility. As their regional expert in energy conservation, project management, building science, and gas marketing he became convinced that the answer was not in fossil fuels. He led efforts to develop an Eco-village, an ecologically-centered demonstration project at his local technical college. He designed and coordinated several large gas line extensions for WPS, converting thousands of customers. He has also advised as a state-certified home inspector. Pat has consulted with nearly 4,000 customers, businesses, contractors, and work sites as a business owner, field expert or in a managing role. He brings this wealth of experience to assist Agrecol in developing new biomass fuel applications and markets.
