Urban Hydrology

Improving the urban watershed with native plants

Before

Large amounts of stormwater run from parking lots, streets and sidealks, carrying harmful pollutants to area lakes and streams.  This warm rainwater increases the temperature of the lake.

After

Rainwater gardens collect stormwater runoff, encourage infiltration and lower the temperature of the lakewater.
