Position Summary

CSRs are part of our Nursery Sales Team and provide our customers with excellent communication, sales, and product support. Nursery Sales team members experience many facets of the business, with opportunity to cross-train, and develop focused skill sets which lead to quick career growth within this environmental industry.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

·        Answer and direct incoming phone calls and customer emails

·        Greet walk-in customers and order pick up customers

·        Provide customers with professional communication

·        Proficiently quote order requests and project needs

·        Enter and process customer sales orders

·        Schedule and confirm orders and deliveries

·        Provide clients with accurate product knowledge and support

·        Gather, maintain, and verify customer information

·        Provide support for inside and outside sales team members

·        Processing online orders for website sales and system updates

·        Office filing and organization

·        Complete ad hoc projects, tasks, and reporting as directed

 

Minimum Qualifications of Candidate

·        1+ years of customer service in an office environment or equivalent inside sales experience

·        Experience with Sage 100 software or equivalent ERP accounting/inventory software

·        Proficient use in Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel

·        Familiarity with native plants or landscaping would be a distinct advantage

Location: Our office is located just outside of Evansville, surrounded by native prairie and farmland, a beautiful backdrop for your commute. 

Dress:  Our office dress code is casual. Most employees wear jeans and sweaters to the office and depending on the day, will dress business casual if needed.

·        Work is primarily sedentary, often sitting for prolonged periods of time with occasional standing, performed in an office environment with occasional work being done in storage facilities conducting inventory counts.

·        Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds.

·        Ongoing daily use of computers and telephone.

·        Walk, sit, stand, bend, climb, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk, hear, read, count, and write.

·        Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.

·        Personal/Physiological: Interaction with people, working around people, planning of activities, making judgements in emergency situations, frequent changes in duties and volume of work, intra-organizational communication.

·        Low to moderate noise level consistent with an office environment with occasional higher noise level. Must be able to work with frequent interruption.
