Agrecol is a Wisconsin native plant nursery that grows and supplies native plant materials to local and regional conservation agencies, non-profit organizations, nurseries, and landscapers. Our nursery owns and operates 500+ acres of native seed production fields and 150,000 square feet of greenhouse space offering over 300 species. Job Description:
Greenhouse crew member is an entry-level position and an excellent way to
be introduced to the conservation industry through the use of native plants and
seed. Our Greenhouse crew members are an integral part of daily
greenhouse operations and get to experience many facets of the business,
cross-train in different departments and often develop focused skill sets which
lead to quick career growth within this specialized industry.
Greenhouse Crew Member Responsibilities:
Responsible for the changing seasonal tasks of propagating, transplanting,
maintaining, and shipping high quality native plant plugs for wholesale and
retail sales.
Job is very physical; all applicants must be able bend and lift
repeatedly, be comfortable on your feet for long periods of time.
Daily tasks include but are not limited to seeding, transplanting,
watering, weeding, cutbacks, moving and consolidation of product and order
fulfillment.
Experience:
The qualified candidate will be a friendly, motivated individual who is
not afraid to ask questions, be willing to learn and enjoy working with plants.
Starting pay is $15.00 to $16.00 per hour (based on experience)
